The following information is required for a new SPS slot.
Name. See: Common Parameters.
The name for the slot is defined in the Slots Naming Guide.
Description. See: Common Parameters.
Order Index. See: Common Parameters.
Drop Tube Type. This parameter must either be ‘Dynamic’, ‘FixedUp’ or ‘FixedDown’.
- Dynamic: There is no starting position for the drop tube, meaning the drop tube will be placed as high as possible (vertically above and/or below the gantry), the location will be calculated using all attached equipment
- FixedUp: The drop tube starts at a specific location, and will only extend vertically upwards to the minimum required length, which will be calculated using all attached equipment
- FixedDown: The drop tube starts at a specific location, and will only extend vertically downwards to the minimum required length, which will be calculated using all attached equipment
HeightHigh. Both this parameter and ‘HeightLow’ have multiple definitions depending on the SPS Slot ‘Drop Tube Type’ parameter.
- ‘Fixed Up’ Drop Tube Type: HeightHigh is the vertical distance from the bottom of the gantry to the bottom of the drop tube (with respect to position)

Note: The starting position for drop tubes with discrete attachment positions is the centre of the SPS bolt used for attachment.
- ‘Fixed Down’ Drop Tube Type: HeightHigh is ignored
This parameter should be 0 for ‘Fixed Down’ drop tube type SPS slots
- ‘Dynamic’ Drop Tube Type: HeightHigh is the minimum vertical distance the top of a drop tube can be above the bottom of the gantry

HeightLow. Both this parameter and ‘HeightHigh’ have multiple definitions depending on the SPS Slot ‘Drop Tube Type’ parameter.
- ‘Fixed Up’ Drop Tube Type: HeightLow is ignored.
This parameter should be 0 for ‘Fixed Up’ drop tube type SPS slots
- ‘Fixed Down’ Drop Tube Type: HeightLow is the vertical distance from the bottom of the gantry to the top of the drop tube (with respect to position)
