Allocation is a property that all object types have.
Allocation typically provides the allocation number of the object and the quantity of the allocation number.
Lineardraft uses tables to create allocations, and all allocation tables are in the following format.
| Length | Weight | Name | Quantity | Name | Quantity |
|---|
If multiple discrete allocations are required for a single object, then additional Name and Quantity columns should be created as shown in the blank example table above.
There is no limit to the amount of additional name and quantity columns that can be created.
A single row of data should be inputted for each available length of ‘FixedSelectedbyAllocation’ objects.
Explanations for the parameters for each column are provided below.
Length. This parameter has multiple different definitions. It depends on the object type and the ‘Template Type’ of the object.
Weight. This is the mass of the object in kg**.**
This feature is not currently functional in Lineardraft.
The default value for Weight for all objects is 0.
Name. The allocation number or reference provided on the drawing, the ‘Name’ will be outputted in the relevant Lineardraft report.
Quantity. This parameter has two different definitions depending on the object type:
For catenary and auxiliary systems: this parameter has discrete values that correspond to different measurements that will be attached as custom asset data to the catenary or auxiliary system.
For all other object types: this parameter is the quantity of the ‘allocation number’ in the previous ‘Name’ row.
